Exploring Premiere Pro

Adobe Premiere Pro is a powerful editing software, which can be used to splice video clips together, using tools that can shave down how long you want a clip to be, separate the audio from video, add your own music, and a lot more.

One of the most powerful tools of Premiere Pro is being able to shorten the clip your editing, what that means is that you can set an in point, where the clip starts, and an out point, where it ends, and then you can import just that bit that you have marked into the timeline.

Some free editing software tools are Clips, and Shotcut, as well as iMovie, if you have an overly expensive phone.

App Development

What my app does is it senses potential hazards, like roots that you could trip over, or trees in your way, by taking input from a GPS on your phone, (mobile plan required for this), and what it outputs, is what is in your immediate way. This app would work best for people with bad vision, no vision, or for night walkers.

The parts of the Design process I used were Prototyping, Defining, and Ideating.

I’m most proud what this app would do, albeit, would become obsolete quickly, seeing as you could just use a flashlight to illuminate your way, but it was still a neat idea.

Animation projects

Frame by Frame animation is the term used when you would animate one frame at a time, as you go, and it all flows together well.

The animation process is very similar on paper and using Animate, one frame in the program, is equal to one card on paper.

Not much more was learned during this project, as I had done Animation in a previous class, so everything I learned there transferred over.

Exploring Powtoon

Today we explored Powtoon. I do not like this program very much, as for some reason, the templates would disappear when I was browsing for the one I needed. Other then that, things are not very organized, in my opinion, and certain objects were full white, with no border around them, effectively making them invisible. I personally do not see any points in the future where i would use powtoon for anything. There’s a saying that goes something like “if you need something done, you gotta do it yourself”, and that’s what I would most likely do for a resume, or animation.

Exploring Photoshop

I made 2 variations of my final image, one that had more color contrast added to it, (right), and one without, (left).

I was trying to convey the message, “if i can wear a mask, you can too!” and that remained prominent throughout editing.

For the after image, i have used a hue/saturation editor, used another photo i had taken, and layered it underneath, and used layer masks to make the blue around the arrow translucent.

I want to learn how to make very cinematic shots look even better.

HTML and CSS website

I used the HTML to make sure the list was working correctly, and that all the text was aligned the way I wanted, while CSS was used to make the text a bit more readable, and to style the website.

I want people to notice the image, and see the above text, hoping they read it.

I used Creative thinking, because i had to make the website look nice, which required me to think outside of the box slightly.

Exploring Python

Python is a type of coding language, it was given its name after Monty Python, and is one of the easiest coding languages to learn, using print, if, else, and other simple statements to make a program.

What I find most interesting about Python is that it’s easy to pick up and learn, and once you learn the basics, you can pretty much go wild after that.

What i hope to learn next is how to make more interactive programs.
