Hello, world!
My name is Leah, and I’m a student in the Tri-Cities.
I’m quite athletic (or so my friends say) and I love to play sports and run around.
I like to chat with friends and make jokes about things. As a positive person, these kind of things are natural to me in any situation.
I love to write stories as well. Romance, in particular. I mean, who wouldn’t love a good love triangle? π
Anyway, see you around!
Leah
My Favorite Picture:
‘A Bold Bluff’ by Cassius Marcellus Coolidge
Coolidge, C.M. βA Bold Bluff.β Dogs Playing Poker.org, 2005.
Have you ever seen that painting of dogs playing poker? Yeah, that one, the one you’re thinking of right now. Well, that’s my favorite picture. We don’t think of dogs being capable of multiple emotions. We think that the only thing they areΒ capable of feeling is happiness, sadness, and loyalty. In this painting, however, Coolidge adapted the look of most dogs into faces of suspicion, anxiety, and surprise. I find that it’s hilarious to see all the players staring at one dog in disbelief or such after he/she makes ‘a bold bluff’ while playing poker. I wish I had a great poker face like that. π
My Favorite Quote:
“Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.”
– Thomas Edison –
You might ask why this is my favorite quote. Well, that is because everyone, when they brainstorm, look for inspiration and expect it to fall at their feet. In my opinion, that’s not how inspiration works. Failure, patience, and endurance are what it takes to achieve that 1%, or the ‘light bulb moment.’ You have to expect that failure will be right on your tail, and that you will become exhausted of trying to reach your goal. But that is exactly what makes a genius idea that much more special.
My Favorite Music Video
Link: https://youtu.be/xEeFrLSkMm8
My favorite music video would be ‘Spring Day’ by BTS. This is because the visuals all throughout the video are incredible and produce such an emotionally charged storyline. It goes so well with the music and vocals, and as such, come together in harmony. I never really liked watching music videos, but this would be the one I’d never get tired of watching over and over again. Also, the deeper, more saddening meaning can be felt if you listen to it more closely and know the lyrics. Meaningful, purposeful, and flushed with emotion; definitely a 5/5 star video!
