I visited Creation Technologies, which is where my dad works. We got a tour around the facility, a PowerPoint presentation about all the roles, built a circuit board for a sensor and got a lesson on how to make a production line very efficient. I didn’t shadow any jobs though, I just learnt information about how the company works, the jobs there etc. We weren’t allowed our phones for the most part since some electric boards at the center could react negatively to it, though I did get a schedule (as seen below). I am the photographer of that.
A new thing that I learnt while at Creations was the different parts of a circuit board (generally), and what some of them do, (For example, resistors, capacitors, diodes, wires etc.)  Some skills that I have that could be/are suited for this job are, being flexible (think of a solution if something goes wrong, or there’s a change in plan), and that I can quickly learn skills (based off of the Take Our Kids to Work Day at least). Some skills that I might need are to think outside of the box, and to learn how to confidently use machinery. I found the machinery the most appealing part about the job. They were fast, precise and expensive. On Nov 2nd there was a room full of vents, so I heard air blowing, people talking, footsteps and machinery soldering circuit boards together. I felt very excited and warm. I saw so many machines, with workers at stations near the machine.
