A Meaningful Quote

“Death must be so beautiful. To lie in the soft brown earth, with the grass waving above one’s head, and listen to silence. To have no yesterday, and no tomorrow. To forget time, to forgive life, to be at peace.” – Oscar Wilde, The Canterville Ghost

I love this quote so much because Oscar Wilde is an icon, and also because it is such a lovely view of death, not as something tragic, but as something to an end. I try to think of death as this, a peaceful existence, and that’s what reflects who I am.
