The link leads to a song labeled “This is Halloween” from The Nightmare Before Christmas. This was my first Tim Burton production (watched it when I was 7) and I think it was also the first film that left a dent or two in my brain. Growing up, I often watched 2D animations, but this style, 3D embedded with melded clay and copious details in each scene was writhing. After finishing the film, I began to develop a keeness for animation and had even considered it as a career choice for some time. However, time has changed that and whenever I see The Nightmare Before Christmas now, it leaves nostalgia and swell of memories in its place. As for what it says about me as a person, I like to think it shows how I value sentiment and memorial significance.
