I found this picture of the phases of the moon very meaningful. The moon, to me, is almost an exact reflection of life. We often see just a full moon or just a new moon. We often never acknowledge that the full moon will soon wane, and a new moon will soon wax. It’s just the same in life.

A quote that really means something to me is

I chose this quote because no matter how many times I read it, it always drowns me in a wave of bittersweetness. I feel emotions more intensely than most people, and it’s so much easier for me to want to hold on to something and never let go—until the very end. It could be something deeply emotional, like my friendships and memories. But it could also be something so trivial, like the lingering sweetness of chrysanthemum tea, the gentle trickling of a brook caressing my fingertips, or the final echo of the A minor chord concluding Liebesleid…
