Social Media and Me

Social Media and Me

What type of creative piece did you create and why? (3/3)
I designed a PDF document using canva and formatted it like a small information booklet. This is because my strength lies more in writing and less in design, so I preferred to write more and let visuals only be a tiny part of my project.

Were you successfully able to add a post to your Edublog entitled “Social Media and Me”? (3/3)
Yes, this is the said post.

Did you convey your understanding of the volume and accuracy of information available though social media? (3/3)
Yes, I believe I conveyed a deep understanding of the material by doing an extensive amount of writing and analysing.

How did you differentiate between facts and interpretations, opinions and judgements?
One easy way to differentiate between fact versus interpretation and opinion versus judgement is to find solid evidence through data analysis or research and to look for biases and outside contributing factors for the information to be presented a certain way. The source from which the information derived can also be taken into account when considering its credibility.

How did you analyze evidence from different perspectives?
We must first acknowledge that personal opinions find ways to leak through our writing, and therefore only take the information that has solid evidence backing it up. It is great to be able to see things from different perspectives, but we must take bias into consideration.
