Image of Impact

This is a photo of my classmates at our grade 8 end-of-year dance. This photo means a lot to me because Grade 8 was the most fun I have ever had at school. For the entirety of my middle school years, I was with the same classmates and teachers. Because of this, I felt like I had a connection with everyone in my class. I got to know so many amazing people and made countless memories. This picture is one of the last taken during those years. Everyone is having fun and being themselves, which is what I remember most about grade 8. Even if it hasn’t been long since I left middle school, I can still look back upon it with a sense of nostalgia.

This is a video of the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra recording Genshin Impact’s soundtrack. In my experience with playing Genshin, one of, if not the best part of the game was its music. This video made me realize the amount of care and thought that was put into the soundtrack. I could feel the passion the conductor and orchestra had for the music. It is unique in the way that cultural influences shine through with the use of traditional Chinese instruments. The music makes the game much more immersive as if the player was actually a part of the in-game world. The fast-paced battle theme makes the fights exciting and the Qingce Village Background Music is so beautiful and serene. Even when I stop playing Genshin Impact, I will always be able to appreciate the dedication and artistry in the works of Yu-Peng Chen and HoyoMix.
