Law of Attraction
“The only thing that will change your life, change your business, change your relationship, is that you must raise your standards,” Tony says.
Get rid of negative people who bring you down. Surround yourself with people who lift you up, lend you knowledge and help you learn from your mistakes. Raise your standards for your inner circle.
This is the law of attraction which goes back into the 6th century. “If you are the smartest person in the room, then you are in the wrong room,” from Confucius. In order to achieve your dreams, you need to surround yourself with people who are better than you. This philosophy has lasted for a long time and it has been proven that it’s true.
I like this quote because it consistently reminds me to let go of any negative thoughts and feelings. In order to surround yourself with better people, it is to let go of people who bring you down. This is real experience to me as well. Back in middle, I hung out with friends that got in trouble and acted cool. Well, I turned into one of them. I got in trouble a lot, teachers disliked me, and more. It caused a lot of conflict between my teachers and parents as well. One day, my mom went to a conference with my teacher about my behaviour. My teacher explained how my attitude was always negative. I was starting to follow the friends that I always hung out with. My teacher first told me to hang out with friends that were more like me. Friends who were positive, smiling, studying, and respectful to teachers. So, the next day, I left behind the, “cool friends,” and went to Korean friends who were good students. After a week of spending time with them, my teacher pulled me aside. She explained how she noticed a big change in me. I was surprised because I had totally forgot about the conversation that we had. For the rest of year, I was a respectful and a diligent student who learned a valuable lesson in life.
That quote also related to, “surround yourself with people outside your comfort zone.” This summer, I have also experienced this. I met a new set of golfing friends in a new course. Each one of them were better than me in every single way. It was tough in the beginning to be interacting and playing with them. However, I realized how much it benefitted me. I learned about the different ways to play from my friends. In tournaments, I had a much better score than practicing alone or with players who were worse than me. It is something that my dad always taught me.
He always says how, “to become better at something, you need to learn and in order to learn, you need to be with people who are better than you.”
SYMBOLISM – EAGLE

Out of billions of images on the planet, this is my favourite image. My favourite animal is an eagle. This isn’t just an ordinary picture. It is a symbolic picture. Eagles have a spiritual meaning that “includes loyalty, devotion, freedom, truth, honour, …, hope, foresight, and physical awareness” (Stanton, 2021). These animals are, “monogamous animals who mate for life”.
Mates dedicate fully into each other, doing almost everything they can do together. They find food, maintain their nest, and raise their young. “The eagle’s nest is symbolic of everything you and your partner create together, from experiences to interactions. It’s up to you to be responsible for all that you bring to the nest”. You are responsible for your actions when you are with your partner. You and your partner are always together, in the same nest, trying to make it better for the both of you.
When an eagle isn’t with their mate, they are flying high in the air, about 10,000 feet up. When diving, they can reach a speed of about 100 miles/hour. “The embody an existence without restrictions, borders, or limitations”. This shows how eagles have the freedom, no boundaries to flying like humans having endless creative mindset to do whatever they can as long as it’s appropriate.
An eagle quote is, “The truth will set you free.” Sometimes telling and understanding the truth isn’t the easiest thing to do. However, an eagle mentions how a person living in the truth has the ability to, “soar high in the air.” It means how burdens and lies hold you down. As you release them, your burdens and heavy weights lift off of your shoulders, letting you go up more freely. Telling the truths are the only way to live like a free human. Soon, you will, “soar high in the air,” as truth becomes a second instinct towards yourself.
Just by looking at an eagle and understanding it can change the way you think and the lifestyle that you live in right now. It can teach you to be more devoted into ones family, having the freedom power, knowing and living in the truth, etc. After looking at the eagle and reading an article about symbolism related, I reflected deeply on it. I wasn’t really devoted into my family. I wanted my parents to do everything and I always wanted to be alone. It isn’t always a bad thing, however, I got the feeling of being together, united. I’m not a perfect, clean person. I don’t always live in the truth and it sometimes hurt. I realized how you need to be hurt. That way you would have no conscience feelings and would always be able to lift your chin up and remain confident, “soaring high in the sky.”
PERFECT Daily Routine for Maximum Productivity
This is one of my favourite YouTube videos because it inspires me a lot. Back in the summer, I didn’t really do much. I didn’t really study and I had a bad habit. I slept very late, woke up very late, scrolled though social media the whole day and went golfing without getting anything done. I always wondered when I was going to feel motivated again. One day, I was just mindlessly scrolling though YouTube, however, I found this video. Inspired by just the cover and title, I clicked it, not knowing that it would change my summer. I learned about self discipline and how a daily routine was important.
The next day, I woke up early. I started to wake up earlier and earlier as weeks came by. I had a regular routine, reading at least thirty minutes per day, studying math, researching about topics that interested me, etc. Each day felt accomplished. Each day turned into weeks and then a month. Before I knew it, school started again and I realized how productive and how much I had done over the summer.
Even the days right now, when I am not that motivated and feel like I want to do nothing but go on my phone and waste the next three hours of my life, I watch this video to remind myself to come back together and start to do things that are productive and push my way through.
