One of the first quotes that caught my eye when researching for this assignment was this quote by singer Dolly Parton.

The quote goes as follows: “The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.”

It may seem simple, but the meaning behind it is much more powerful. The rainbow represents something you are looking forward to, an end goal, or a dream, and the rain symbolizes the effort in order to achieve it. No one wakes up one day and becomes a successful person. No athlete doesn’t practice and makes it to the top. Everyone who is good at anything knows that from a surface point of view, it may look easy: but the hard work behind it goes a long way. If you aren’t willing to take the first step and achieve your goals or chase your dreams, you will stay right where you are for the rest of your life.
