a) How might your digital footprint affect your personal brand and future (e.g,school and work opportunities? Give at least two examples. 1. if you were trying to find a job and they search up your name and find something that’s disrespectful or rude they might think bad of you and end up not giving you the job. 2 if you were trying to create a business/Brand in the future and the people you hire search up your name and find out that you were saying homophobic, Racist, Sexist and other bad things they might end up leaving.
b) 1. Why is it important to to be aware of ones digital footprint? It is important to know ones digital footprint because if they have said inappropriate things online you might not want to talk to them anymore. 2.if you have online friends and search up their name and see that they have posted many mean things recently you might not want to be friends with them anymore.- Safety
Describe at least three strategies (e.g., consider passwords, cookies security, etc.) that you can use to keep your digital footprint appropriate and safe. 1. Don’t use your full name on social medias and websites. Make sure you have some safety settings on social media so random people cant see what you post or what your full name is. 2. Don’t use the same password for everything because if someone finds out that pass word they have access to everything that uses the same password. so you should have different passwords for every website. 3. Don’t post public information online to social media like Where you live, what school you go to, your age, your full name. because if you do people will be able to see your personal information. -
Digital Permanencea) How would you explain the idea of “digital permanence” to anyone in your spheres of influence? when you post something and delete it its still there because someone could of saved it or screenshotted it and they can repost itb) you should care about you post because if you get something wrong it can offend the creators. so you should always be aware of what you post and make sure it doesn’t offend the creators.
