Meaningful Quote

"People cry not because they're weak, it's because they've been strong for too long"
  - Johnny Depp

For this part of the assignment, I had a tough time choosing which quotes I had to select, considering there were so many that I could relate to, and express my emotions on. As you may not know this, I consider myself a person that is emotional, and take things to heart way too often, and cry for the simplest things possible. I’ve always questioned myself in life whether it was a good thing crying, because I also recognized it as a “tool” to express and liberate emotional burden, however, some people didn’t think the same.

People generally think that only the puny and fragile tends to cry, and that they suffer in life. But the thing that they don’t know, is that they cry because they know, acknowledging pain is the best way to reduce it. Crying, simply teaches us to adapt better to reality, and this quote always jogs my memory of saying that its okay to emotionally struggle. You can’t really choose how you want to feel since its primarily a part of you.

Crying is beautiful. It shows us what the true characteristics of humanity can look like.

Can Life Have Too Much Meaning? - Scott H Young

Out of all the images that I had to select from, I decided to choose this one. Considering that it was the one that corresponds to me the most. If you take a slight glance at the image, it would’ve been thought as one of those useless cartoons that anyone could’ve made, and probably had no significance. But, as a matter of fact, there’s a hidden message in the photo that I consider a great advice for any individual.

As a child, I’ve always refused to receive any assistance from adults due to my annoying habit of being introverted and an independent worker. And to the fact that I hated making mistakes since it would make me look idiotic, I’ve always been intimidated by everything, and refrained myself from doing anything with others. It was by the end of elementary school where I began to over-strain the limits of my working habits, and started to “bite off more than I could chew”. And this is what this image is indicating. It’s showing an illustration of what the consequences of over-working can do to (me and) you. So, this is why I consider this image my favourite.

Favourite YouTube Clip

For the past two years, this (official) music video has never once disappointed me on making me smile while crying at the same time. The song “Orange” by “7!!”, was originally composed for one of the anime that I find successful and that I can relate to the most. The fact how the lyrics of the song corresponds to one of the character’s perspective, hurts me, and is something that I won’t be able to forget. Your Lie in April, is the only anime that taught me how to love again, how to express my feelings more, and how I should let go even if it’s painful.

The story of how one, changed a person’s life. From wanting to die, then wanting to live for the one that you loved, but ended up losing them.. The fact that this can happen to anyone in life, makes the story more beautiful, because it teaches you to have the courage to overcome our fears despite our past being traumatizing, and to follow your passion. Your Lie in April really is a beautiful anime. An anime that expresses a lot of feelings most of us can’t express in words. All emotions, whether happy or sad, have been expressed really beautifully.
