(1)How might your digital footprint affect your personal brand and future?
A: The browser history will recommend content based on one’s preferences and social activities. After a long time, this may affect the future direction of this person. Anything that you post publicly can be easily accessed by companies that may hire you and they can easily monitor what you are doing online and sometimes this may have a negative reflection on your personality and job opportunities. An example of when social media affected a persons job opportunity was when a newly hired NASA employee was boasting and saying inappropriate words as a way to show off to her friends on social media and someone commented back saying to stop, but the employee kept going and did not heed the mans warning. Turns out the man asking her to stop was her manager at NASA and thus the woman lost her job.
(2)Why is it important to be aware of one’s digital footprint?
A:On the internet everyone has freedom and their own rights especially on a public page so everyone can make fake or real accounts. They also can be other people in order to deceive people. This is why most scams are done on the internet, since they can make multiple accounts and no one will know their identity or be able to track them. Another reason why you should be more aware of your digital footprint since unknown strangers can take your personal information if you decide it to put it on your internet accounts. This is why it is recommended to have a private account on social media pages so you can monitor and decide who you want to follow and who follows you.

Although our personal information can be easily accessed or can be easily stolen we still have ways to protect our privacy. Here are some suggestions to avoid getting our information stolen.
(1)We can use incognito tabs of Chrome. Incognito mode allows the user to browse in private and anything they search up will not show up on their history.
(2) Another way to protect your footprint is having passwords and create accounts for your apps, but use similar but different passwords for different accounts, because if you have the same password for all of your things, then if someone were to obtain that password, then all of your accounts are at risk.
(3) If you don’t want to use incognito mode, then clearing your browsing history is also a method since it eliminates any data recorded.

How would you explain the idea of ”digital permanence”to anyone in your spheres of influence:other students, your family members, your teachers, etc.?
A: Your Digital Footprint can be kept for long periods of time which increases the time of digital permanence due to the fact that the development and scientific revolution continues to grow and grow. This means that the things on the internet that you post and stay can stay for a long long time. Which means that negative things that you do online can affect you for long periods of time
