Exploring Powtoon

Today we explored Powtoon. I do not like this program very much, as for some reason, the templates would disappear when I was browsing for the one I needed. Other then that, things are not very organized, in my opinion, and certain objects were full white, with no border around them, effectively making them invisible. I personally do not see any points in the future where i would use powtoon for anything. There’s a saying that goes something like “if you need something done, you gotta do it yourself”, and that’s what I would most likely do for a resume, or animation.

Exploring Photoshop

I made 2 variations of my final image, one that had more color contrast added to it, (right), and one without, (left).

I was trying to convey the message, “if i can wear a mask, you can too!” and that remained prominent throughout editing.

For the after image, i have used a hue/saturation editor, used another photo i had taken, and layered it underneath, and used layer masks to make the blue around the arrow translucent.

I want to learn how to make very cinematic shots look even better.

ICT 9 and Core Competency Predictions

I think we will practice Communication and Collaboration by doing group projects. We can practice Creative Thinking by trying to think up some new ideas from some small items around us. Another way is to draw experience from others to better understand their ideas, and benefit the whole group. I think Social Awareness will be used by making sure laptops are sanitized for the next persons use. Personal Awareness, meanwhile, would be practiced by making sure you sanitize your hands when you enter the school, always make sure you have a mask on, stay 6 feet apart, and staying home when unwell. Critical and Reflective Thinking would possibly be used after an assignment is completed, to check and review if it can be improved or not, then have a peer review it for you, to gain from their experience and feedback. As for Positive Personal and Cultural Identity, I think it would be understanding and respecting yours and other peoples backgrounds and choices.
