Math 9 Vacation Budgeting Project

For this project we decided to take a tour of Europe, starting in London and ending in Berlin. We had a budget of $14000 and an extra $200 for our life event. At first, we went with more budget friendly options to save money, but towards the end there was a lot of extra unspent money so we found more expensive and luxurious options for hotels, flights, and restaurants. For transportation around the city, I decided that a day pass would do best because we were only staying in each city for a day and the public transportation systems in the cities were cheap and reliable. Finding the correct hotels, restaurants and flights was somewhat difficult, because there were many websites with different prices and offers, but we managed put together a plan that worked. Also, timings were the most annoying part because there was time zone changes almost every time we traveled and we had to add them all up.

For our infographic, we decided that Visme wasn’t very good, so we used Canva instead. I’m not that good at making infographics, so I used an excel spreadsheet to gather all the information and prices so I could give the numbers and charts to my partner for the infographic. In the end, I’m pretty satisfied with what we were able to get done and if I did have $14000 somewhere, this wouldn’t seem like too bad of a trip.
