Essentials of Mathematics 9 – MMA–09A

This course consolidates concepts within the Mathematics 8 curriculum and includes skills and concepts required to successfully move forward into Foundations 9 or Workplace 10. This course is designed to better equip students to manage the Foundations 9 curriculum and to prepare for suitable choices at the grade 10 level.

Foundations of Mathematics 9 – MMA–09

This course is designed to consolidate and extend topics which include operations with rational numbers, polynomials, linear relations and equations, exponents, measurement, statistics, and financial literacy. At the end of this course, students will be prepared for Foundations of Mathematics and Pre-Calculus 10 or Workplace Mathematics 10.

Pre-Diploma Mathematics 9 – MMA–09IB

This course is the first of two courses that will prepare students to have success in IB Mathematics 11. Topics include algebra, trigonometry, measurement, geometry. Each topic is dealt with in greater depth and more emphasis is placed on the interrelationship of topics through creative problem solving. Pascal Mathematics Contest practice will also be a focus.
